2020 SHL Week 9 Transactions

  • D Seth Dowd, who played for the Hershey Bliss’ minor-league affiliate in Milwaukee, announced his retirement.  The veteran blueliner suffered a broken clavicle and separated shoulder three weeks ago after crashing awkwardly into the boards, and subsequently underwent surgery.  Dowd was expected to miss the rest of the season, and he elected to hang up his skates rather than attempt a return next season.  The 34-year-old defenseman was one of the SHL’s original players, and he recorded 5 assists in the SHL in a total of 68 games over parts of three seasons, all with the Bliss, including one game last season.
