Hershey SmallThe SHL named Hershey Bliss C Justin Valentine as the Player of the Week.  Valentine, who plays on Hershey’s famous “Love Line,” racked up 8 goals and 11 points this week.  Valentine and his linemates sparked the Bliss to a 4-1-0 week, allowing them to strengthen their grip on second place in the East.  Valentine scored at least one goal in every game Hershey played this week.  His finest performance came on Wednesday, when he scored two goals and two assists to help the Bliss knock off Washington 4-3.

For the season to date, Valentine has recorded 23 goals and 47 points, placing him firmly in the league’s top 10 in both categories.

“Justin’s just such a tremendous player,” said Hershey coach “Chocolate Chip” Barber.  “He’s got so many tools and skills, so many ways to make us stronger.  I know everyone’s saying it’s Washington’s division to lose.  But I wouldn’t be so quick to write us off.  We’ve got the talent to carry us a long way, and Justin’s a big piece of that.”
