The SHL selected Hershey Bliss C Justin Valentine as its Player of the Week. Valentine put up 15 points this week (8 goals, 7 assists), allowing him to finish the season with 85 points, the highest total in the league. Valentine is in the top 10 in the SHL in both goals (44) and assists (41).
“I think Justin is the most offensively balanced player in the league,” said Bliss coach “Chocolate Chip” Barber. “He doesn’t mind doing what needs to be done to help us win. It was pretty painful for us when Lance [Sweet] went down and murdered our season. But if everybody’s healthy next year, the league better watch out.”
